What is a trackpad?
A trackpad is an external device that can be connected to computer devices and be used as an alternative to a mouse. Using your fingertips, you can type and navigate pages.
How does a trackpad work?
Trackpads use sensors to track the movement and pressure of your fingers. The sensors then translate this motion into cursor movements on your display screen.
How do you disable a laptop trackpad?
If you have a trackpad integrated into your device, you can still disable it by heading to your computer’s Control Panel or Settings and selecting ‘Mouse’ or ‘Touchpad’ and disabling it. Also, many laptops have an extra key with a trackpad icon which can be pressed to enable and disable the trackpad.
